Troubles Opening BCA Files
Allplan Engineering Removed
If you attempt to load your BCA file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open BCA Files". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Allplan Engineering isn't installed on your PC. The typical path of opening your BCA with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: Another BCA-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Outdated Allplan Engineering
Sometimes your installed version of Allplan Engineering won't support your Allplan Backup Catalog File file. Visit the Nemetschek Group website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Allplan Engineering. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of BCA file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
