KYB File Complications
Frequent KYB Opening Issues
Missing Entire Connection
If you attempt to load your KYB file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open KYB Files". Customarily, this means that Entire Connection is not installed on %%os%%. The OS won't know what to do with your KYB file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you don't have Entire Connection installed, and you know of another program to open your KYB file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Incorrect Entire Connection Version
In other instances, your Keyboard Layout file version may not be supported by your version of Entire Connection. You will need to download a newer version of Entire Connection if you don't have the right version. This issue mainly occurs when your Keyboard Layout file was created by a newer version of Entire Connection than you have on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your KYB file and clicking "Properties".
Conclusion: The majority of KYB file opening issues are due to not having the correct Entire Connection version installed.
Other KYB File Issues
You can still experience errors opening KYB files even with the latest version of Entire Connection installed on your PC. Other KYB opening errors can be created by other system problems inside of %%os%%. Issues that aren't software-related:
- KYB file type Registry entries are wrong
- Unintentional removal of the description of the KYB file inside the Windows Registry
- Entire Connection or another KYB application experienced a flawed installation
- File corruption affecting your KYB file
- Malware-tainted KYB file can't be opened
- KYB-related hardware has device drivers that obsolete
- Windows has inadequate resources to open your Keyboard Layout file
