Troubles Opening HDS Files
Parallels Desktop for Mac is Not Installed
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open HDS Files" when trying to open your HDS. When this happens, it is commonly due to Parallels Desktop for Mac missing in %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your HDS file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Incorrect Parallels Desktop for Mac Version
Your Parallels Desktop Hard Disk File file is incompatible with Parallels Desktop for Mac because you might have the wrong version installed. Download the latest Parallels Desktop for Mac version from the Parallels website to ensure you have the correct one installed.
