Sources of PVC Problems
Typical PVC Opening Challenges
Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) is Not Installed
When trying to open your PVC file, you get the error "Can't Open PVC File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) for %%os%% installed. You won't be able to double-click to open your PVC because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your PVC file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) is Out-of-Date
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Panasonic VM1 Voice File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. You will need to download a newer version of Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) if you don't have the right version. This problem is predominately due to having a Panasonic VM1 Voice File file version that was created by a newer version of Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: If you right-click on your PVC file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Summary: Not having the right Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) version on your computer can cause problems opening PVC files.
Other Causes of PVC File Opening Problems
Assuming you have the right Panasonic Mini Player (VS2_VM1_Player.exe) version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening PVC files. If you're still experiencing problems opening PVC files, there could be other computer problems. Additional factors include:
