Understanding MVO Issues
Troubles Opening MVO Files
Unknown Software Removed
Double-clicking your MVO file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open MVO File". Customarily, this means that Unknown Software is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your MVO with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens MVO files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Unknown Software Requires Update
It is possible that your version of Unknown Software isn't able to open your A Graphic File file due to incompatibility. If you've got the wrong version of Unknown Software installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This issue mainly occurs when your A Graphic File file was created by a newer version of Unknown Software than you have on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your MVO, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Summary: Not having the right Unknown Software version on your computer can cause problems opening MVO files.
Other MVO File Opening Causes
Assuming you have the right Unknown Software version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening MVO files. If you are continuing to have errors with loading MVO files, other external issues might be to blame. Problems unrelated to software:
- MVO file references in the Windows Registry are broken
- Deletion of the MVO file description from the Registry by mistake
- Partial installation of Unknown Software that did not fully complete
- The MVO itself is corrupted
- Past or present virus infection has affected your MVO
- Drivers associated with MVO software need to be updated
- Windows cannot load your A Graphic File file due to insufficient resources (eg. RAM)
