Troubleshoot OCSP Files
Issues Opening OCSP Files
HAProxy Removed
Double-clicking your OCSP file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open OCSP File". If so, it typically means that you don't have HAProxy installed for %%os%%. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the OCSP file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: If you don't have HAProxy installed, and you know of another program to open your OCSP file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
HAProxy is Out-of-Date
Sometimes your installed version of HAProxy won't support your HAProxy OCSP Data File file. Visit the Open Source website to download (or purchase) the latest version of HAProxy. Your HAProxy OCSP Data File file was probably created by a newer release of HAProxy than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the OCSP file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening OCSP files are due to having the incorrect version of HAProxy installed on your computer.
Associated Difficulties Loading OCSP Files
In the majority of cases, installing the right version of HAProxy will resolve your issue. If you're still experiencing problems opening OCSP files, there could be other computer problems. These issues include:
- Windows Registry OCSP file paths that are incorrect
- Accidental deletion of the description of the OCSP file in the Windows registry
- Corrupt install of HAProxy or other OCSP-related program
- Your OCSP file is corrupted (issues with your HAProxy OCSP Data File file itself)
- OCSP file integrity has been compromised by malware
- Hardware related to OCSPs has device driver corruption
- Insufficient system resources to successfully open HAProxy OCSP Data File files
