Troubleshooting Problems Opening RDC Files

Missing Mozilla Firefox

When you double-click your RDC file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have Mozilla Firefox for %%os%% installed. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.

Tip: If you don't have Mozilla Firefox installed, and you know of another program to open your RDC file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".

Mozilla Firefox Requires Update

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Mozilla Firefox installed that's incompatible with your IBM Voice Type Languages Scripts Data File type.
